Visited doctor today for diabetes check-up and he sais that i could have lancets and test strips on prescription as he is happy for me to test and see how different foods affect my bg.
Feel sorry for the people that i have seen post on here with the opposite news, who have to buy all the bits...
I found these in my local chinese market. They are fine when done with a stir-fry. Quite expensive for what they are tho. All they do really is add a tiny bit of fibre and bulk the meal out.
Have you cooked with them yet?
Has anyone else?
Hi another newby here! not long joined and glad i did! Cant believe how much better the advice on here is than the stuff ive been given by my practice. I feel like its all been left upto me to sort.
hi riri, just about everyone would have had that hi number. thats almost 50g carbs.
thats prob enough for 2 meals.
Maybe try more filling in just 1 wrap. just a thought.
Thankyou very much for this info that you got from the doc. very interesting. i just thought i was getting old and over doing it at the gym!!
I find that you have to keep moving as when you do sit and relax you tighten up.
Hi all. this is my 1st post on the forum. I've been reading lots of posts but never posted until now.
I agree, the only way you are going to know what foods affect you better than others is to use a meter.
otherwise you are blind to it.
