Started on the original shake one but found that i cut down to 1 or two and just have extra veg and salad.
I came off it at the weekend there because the results have been poor and my levels are in the 20's now !
I am in my 3rd week of the Newcastle diet but found that my glucose levels are consistently in double figures e.g. between 11 and 14 throughout the day.
Is this due to fatty liver dumping or am I probably going to have to consider a more aggressive medication package ?
Currently on Metformin...
Yes I am doing the 800cal 3 shake a day.
I cannot 100% control the soup ingredients .... but i can, to a degree, control the calories through not having a shake and doing some excercise ?
Like I say I am at the mercy of the galley .... my thought process is ultimately it is a calorie driven diet so if i sacrifice a shake and/ or do some excersise calorie wise i am still net less than 800.
I am currently on the Newcastle diet - 6 days in
I take 1/ day metformin + ramipril + statin
Unfortunately where i am just now working offshore i am at the mercy of what is on offer at any given time regards food etc.
My current programme for now is:
Breakfast - I have a shake.
Lunch - There...
The wife god bless her has been coming up with some lovely soups so they are helping ... but would love something that could "meat-up" the salad/stirfry.
Struggling to come up with new ideas for making veg/salad interesting ..... its a real struggle. The novelty of spiced sprouts has worn off now lol
I had a morning 6 today which is at least a drop ..... will see how tomorrow goes.
