Hi guys as a type 1 diabetic I would love to have a freestyle libre CGM but I can not afford one! Was just wondering if any of you guys have managed to get one through the NHS yet as most websites I have been on have said they are now available from 1st November?

Yes because you will get free diabetic eye screening to. We're thay just take pictures of your eyes to check there is nothing elce going on. I had mine done last week. Nothing to it.

Hoping someone can help. I'm going out for a meal tomorrow night and was wondering how you go about your insulin when having a 2 course meal. I use novorapid with every meal so do I insulin all at once with the main or split a dose? Help please x thank you.

Yes I'm 28 was diagnosed type 2 in august last year. Put on metformin by my GP. Had a savear DKA new years day and found out I was actually type 1 all along! So yes it does happen. I was very unwell.
This was ne to I was only diagnosed new years day I was very ill new years eve fort I had flu. And my mum found me in a dka coma unresponsive. My blood sugar was 39! All I remember is waking up in intensive care 3 days later very scary. I now have damage to my kidneys from this.
