    Trying for a baby

Hi Maddie. Sorry only just seen this. I’m still trying to get myself at the late 40s range. I’m currently at 55. The nurse never said that I couldn’t go ahead but my levels aren’t ready yet. I’m hoping to start trying by the end of September. How’s it going for you? Yvonne x

    Trying for a baby

Just wanted to know what was suggested your HBA1C should be when trying for a baby and what it was. I had one nurse say it should be early 40s but my latest nurse said around 55 would be fine.

Need to lose weight and be more healthy

Since being diagnosed with type 1 almost 2 years ago, I have managed to put back on all the weight that I had lost and can't seem to get the motivation to eat more healthily and exercise. Alcohol and evening meal

I'm guessing it must have been the alcohol lowering my levels but what would have happened if I hadn't forgotten my insulin. I probably would have ended the night with a hypo. Unfortunately I hadn't checked my levels since lunch time and I forgot to take that with me too, so was unable to check.

    Alcohol and evening meal

Hello to all my fellow diabetics. So last night I went out for a meal with my boyfriend and went for a few drinks before. It was only when I was waiting for my food at the restaurant that I realised that I left my insulin at home. I didn't panic and just said that I would correct myself when I...

One for the Ladies (Newly diagnosed type 1)

Heya, thanks for your response. It definitely makes it easier when you can speak to someone who is type 1. I am in a lucky position that my tutor has type 1 diabetes and he has said that he is happy to answer any questions I might have about it, so that's good. In regards to my PGCE, I am...

One for the Ladies (Newly diagnosed type 1)

Hey all, So this is my first post. I'm 27 and I was diagnosed with Type 1 at the end of August, so it is still early days and have a lot more to learn. I am so far managing my levels but am finding that I have other issues which are stress related. The timing hasn't been great as I just...
