Trying for a baby

Just wanted to know what was suggested your HBA1C should be when trying for a baby and what it was. I had one nurse say it should be early 40s but my latest nurse said around 55 would be fine.

Hello @Willow85 To be honest it will vary depending on who you speak to and what guidelines they follow, NICE guidelines are below 48mmol/l (6.5%).

Me and my partner want to start trying, I got told a couple of months ago to hold of because of the coronavirus. I was just wondering if your nurse has given you the go ahead to start trying now we are over the peak and the UK looks like its slowly opening up.

Hi Maddie. Sorry only just seen this. I’m still trying to get myself at the late 40s range. I’m currently at 55. The nurse never said that I couldn’t go ahead but my levels aren’t ready yet. I’m hoping to start trying by the end of September. How’s it going for you?
