Missed dose Metformin.

Tripe, most shellfish.. mussels, cockles etc...
Just woke up.. 4 hours later than my usual morning Metformin dose.. would it be best to leave it and take my usual prescribed dose at my normal later time.. do I take the missed one now? Probably should have asked my DSN. Last time we spoke.

When I was taking metformin I was told if I skipped a dose, I just had to take the next dose.

it doesnt matter so much , unless you very easily do become low in blood glucose... If I miss one I just take it later and maybe the other even a little later too

I would just miss it completely and then take your next due one at the usual time - Metformin isn't a quick working drug so won't affect you blood sugar very much if at all by missing one. I have on occasion missed a dose both deliberately (when ill) and accidentally and it hasn't mattered.

I take them as I get up some days I'm up by 8 some days up at 12 i just take my first ones when I need to
