As part of an optional benefit package at work I signed up for a BUPA peek health check. It is pretty thorough I have to say.
As part of that I had my HBA1C done again, I am only 9weeks since my last blood test which was when I was diagnosed T2 with a HBA1C of 95.
My result today was really good - I was really pleased to come in at 44.
My cholesterol also came down from 6.2 - 5.8.some work to do there because my LDL is much higher than my HDL. I also don't know what the break down was from my first diagnosis so I will need to have a look. None the less it was down.
My blood pressure has consistently gone down since I started losing weight and is now a very respectable 120/75.
So work in progress - still a great deal to do - including shifting the last 20lbs to bit at my peek weight.
Thanks for the forum and the people who post for helping to understand more and point me in the direction of great information. I myself started by drastically reducing the carbs and then introducing healthier fats. Obviously far too early to draw any conclusions but a good start.
