If you google holiday insurance comparison it will give you a chart with a star rating. If you then read in the reviews it will give you data on how likely they are to pay out. Be very careful with insurance. Many many people will tell you of this or that policy which was cheap, but of course you only know how good your policy is when you have to claim. Insurance companies will try anything to wriggle out of paying update.

Hi there, as Flora says above. You will see Insurer's that you recognise (usually the premium is a little higher) and those you may not have heard of (maybe a little cheaper).Stick ALL of your details in, do not miss any out. There are loads of them.

I cannot be certain if this is the one, but I obtained a quote from a link on this website a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised by the premium. https://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetic-travel-insurance.html

Whilst we rarely have to claim on travel insurance, it is not something to skimp on.

Hi there - The link @KateA has posted is useful. If you click on it, the underlying site is being reworked, so is currently offline, however, if you call the number below you will be assisted.

@brottonmoores I can’t see what type you are but as T2 not in meds’ it added £20 odd to my annual policy this year. Just to give an idea.

We took my mother on holiday and used a company called "insure with" as she had cancer and this firm specialises in people with medical conditions

I used Staysure for mine as I have different issues. They insure you as a basic rate and then add costs for each issue. Brilliant as well, my wife had ear infection in Florida and covered it all with no issues at all. We paid for medication but claimed it back with no issues either. I would highly recommend!!

We use either Staysure or Insureandgo as we both have various health issues.
