I have been type 1 for 65 years and have no problems luckilyMy husband is 78 and upto 2years was relatively fit apart from pulmonary fibrosis which was stable. He has been type 2 for 20 years controlled by Metformin Glicazide and Liniglipitin until two months ago when insulin was needed .Inow have to inject every evening and am having problems. He has lost a lot of weight ,is on oxygen 16 hours every day,now has Alzheimer's and is having a stent fitted next month.Because he has lost so much weight (waist 40 now 35)I am finding it very difficult to find any fatty skin,I inject his upper arm at the moment but it is literally two pieces of skin. His legs buttock and stomach are the same ,just saggy skin with no fat only bone. Can anyone suggest a solution .

Have you tried pinching the skin? Insulin just needs to be subcutaneously injected so you don’t really need lots of fat.
