I recently had a pancreatic MRI. The good news is that I don’t have pancreatic cancer, gallstones or blocked bile ducts. But what the MRI did show was that my pancreas has “shrunk” which might explain why I’m producing less insulin and also enough enzymes to get the full benefit of any food I consume. More investigations are ongoing …. and I show no outgoing symptoms.
What I’d like to know is if anyone else has been diagnosed with a shrinking pancreas. And I’d like to know as to why you think it happened, what were the consequences that affected you and how were you treated.
I’ve just started Tresiba at 14 units daily to make up my insulin shortfall and my BS is falling nicely. But a shrinking pancreas is a new phenomenon to me.
