what was your bs before dinner? i have been told that your bs will rise and fall after eating and that it should be within 2mmol/l of what it was pre food. hope this helps

Hi tia,

9.2 is a bit on the high side to be honest, but it does rather depend on what you ate for dinner.
If by 'normal' you mean non-diabetic, you might expect a bs between 4.5 and 5.5 2 hours after dinner. Those figures are very difficult to achieve for a diabetic if there is too much carbohydrate in your diet though.

2hrs after eating you would get a false result as your body is processing the food so basically your testing the food!

Can I just add I tested before breakfast (8am) this morning 5.5. Half asleep in work at 10 I tested again and was 12.4. Before lunch tested and was 5.6. Pretty spot on amount of insulin this morning!
