What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.2 this morning.
I had stopped having flax seeds when l was losing my Christmas weight gain and completely forgot to add it back to my breakfast so it was so lovely to add it back again.

I especially liked the organic ground sprouted flaxseeds - which is a new product from Linwoods.. They are so tasty.

BG at 05.20 was 7.9. That's after a night in the big recliner chair in the kitchen (with a spell in a more upright chair to ease my hip a bit).

Painkillers at 05.20 finally let me sleep from about 05.45 to just after 09.00.

I stopped taking Metformin as a trial to see if it was causing my digestive issues. It seems to have worked but BG is harder to control now. Swings and roundabouts...

I was struggling with a name yesterday and asked Neil if he could remind me (Peter Mandelsson's grandfather). I remembered that he was a Morrison but couldn't remember his first name. I was surprised that Neil had no idea who I was talking about - that's a first! It finally came to mind "Herbert", Then Neil knew who I was talking about but hadn't realised that Herbert Morrison was Peter Mandelsson's grandfather. That's me one up on Neil - amazing, there's something I know that he doesn't. Of course, he does now, so I've lost that little advantage

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

Mrs J is cutting her hair and I guess it will not be long before my beard and hair will be under attack. Where can I hide?

My afternoon nap is causing havoc with my composition, so I shall drift off, wishing you all well and dream of whatever takes your fancy.

7 is my two weeks average and 7 is what it was this morning.
Had a bad night, never had such heartburn, something I ate? Not too sure.

Interesting kaleidoscope - lovely colours and textures - a creature washed up by the waves. Reminds me of eating sea urchins off Malindi Beach.

Good morning everyone on a bright sunny start to the day after the past 24 hour deluge here in the dark and dangerous north. I thought for one moment that a big boat might been needed but how to round up two Koala bears and a couple of kangaroos - nothing mentioned in the last set of Ikea instructions. Good job after what those lions and tigers did to unicorns and other now missing creatures.
5.8 this a.m.
Visit from eldest granddaughter yesterday with our newly hatched great grandson. Just slept, which is nice as the sight of cooing relatives pulling faces at a two week old infant baby who can barely see in grey scale beyond the end of it’s nose is just too much fun.
Art bit - still messing about with ink.
Hope your day brings you a smile. I need to finish the koffy and then get the washing sorted out.

Have just realised that I wrote this post yesterday but didn't press the post button

5.8 this morning.(Saturday morning)

Today was very busy but I do like the lesson plan I did for this week's classes - so it was an enjoyable day's teaching. Have totally relaxed since classes finished.

It is blowing a hoolie outside, but I am really cosy in the conservatory with my cosy throw.

5.8 this morning.

Mr K isn't feeling that good today. It is some sort of a bug with aching all over but no high temperature. I have heard of several people with it in our village. I tested him for covid and luckily he was negative.

He is being a bit of a grumpy old sod because I am insisting he stays hydrated and he just wants me to leave him alone to sleep.

Hug for Mr K. Sounds like a miserable sort of bug. But you're right about the hydration and I'm sure he'll appreciate that when he starts to feel a bit better. Meantime "Nurse knows best".

Another quiet day.
Mrs L is having a bed rest day until teatime.
Breakfast and lunch in bed.
A tidy up your in the garden, got rid of the detritus of the recent high winds, that was a storm but wasn't! And the grass needs chopping but it's still very wet from the incredible amount of rainfall, we had for most of the day yesterday. I was wondering if I needed an ark at some point in the evening.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Best wishes.

Thank you @Lamont D . I was getting quite worried about him but suddenly this evening he feels a lot better

Good early evening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Mrs J has decided that we are eating leftovers, what leftovers is a mystery to me, me’s and myself. Best not ask, just eat.
Beware!
A woman's best and most used weapon is poison especially in leftovers........ They are disgusting!
