Hi @Bobby105 , if you're having nighttime hypos, have you and your GP considered reducing your insulin dose?

What does your blood glucose look like during the day?

Nite hypos stopped, no longer taking night reading . Day readings down. Avr 7.7 last week
ABH1C down to 45. Still abnormal but includes period of high reading with Covid 2 months ago. THE lead for diabetes is continuing . Im trying to fill dietary gaps in my knowledge eg fibre

Pulses, all of them, oats, whole grains, broccoli, apples, pears, whole meal bread, brown rice, and anything that says on the label that it has 6g per 100g fibre.

Starchy foods are by definition carbohydrate foods. Carbs when digested become glucose, so they will have a considerable impact on your blood glucose and therefore insulin requirements.

I seem to get all the fibre I need from green leafy veg, which are generally low carb options.

Flax seeds & chia seeds sprinkled on salad & veg, or make a nice low carb chia seed pudding, you could have it for breakfast with a few raspberries & blackberries which are also high fibre

Cauliflower, which is a low carbers best friend can be made into rice, mash, Cauli cheese or just in its own is also high in fibre.
