That's not something I do. It's well known that you will make the cholesterol you need - about 80% of it is manufactured in the body. Statins are designed to interfere with this process - they have no impact on dietary cholesterol. There are some interesting recently published studies from (if memory serves) from Sweden and Sardinia that look at people who have lived to advanced ages - a large proportion have high cholesterol, but there are significantly fewer with low cholesterol.Does the saturated fat have to be watched for health reasons?
