What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Implanted new libre . Old one had four days left but repeatedly gave low glucose warnings. I read it’s not uncommon with libre two

This mornings reading is six point two with a nice sub six overnight line.
I had to cut short a Dexcom One Plus sensor because it was giving ridiculously low readings which were affecting my averages etc. My Nexus finger prick was much higher and likely to be more accurate.

7.4 today, just up and down readings and somewhat baffled as all else constant. Suppose my liver is just trying to make a statement and remind me who is in charge.
I constantly remind myself that diabetes is a non linear condition so whilst it may be possible to observe and even predict general trends but when it comes down to say a single day then it's a different ball game.

I don’t eat a lot of vegetables, hardly any for the last year or so

Yesterday I did myself a very small cauliflower with a steak.

My morning glucose is six point seven on contour next, the most accurate devise I’ve found

Libre says six point eight. More significant imo is the higher than usual overnight line above six which libre shows me

My take on this is that vegetables are very over rated

Meter 6
Dexcom replacement on, felt lost without it!
Weird isn't it, once the CGM is off or expired it always leaves me with a feeling of vulnerability even though I still finger prick and can almost predict how my bloods will respond to daily routines. Can't speak for anyone else but in many ways I am getting reliant on the CGM even when I know what it will be telling me.

6.3 at 08:30 this morning (5.2 on the Dexcom).

I've got a few days left with the trial version of the Dexcom One+, but haven't decided whether I'll continue with it or not. I don't really need it, but find it useful to track what happens after a meal, and I also suspect it'd stop me getting complacent once I get my hb1ac down to where it needs to be.

mostly really good morning numbers. 5.4-5.7, exception days pre-op appts 10+ had two due to missing 'bloods' :F wonder why the heck they didn't believe that my last hba1c was october? :O did show them medical record via mydiabetesmyway and queried if was needed. left crease of elbow from last week appt pretty bruised and sore weird that yesterdays appt no bruising and isnt actually sore!

expecting next hba1c whenever that will be to be considerably higher as wont be allowed to exercise for umteen weeks. yesterdays result was awesome 36!!! dsn whining im not eating enough carbs wants me to eat 250g+ per day no ty, said too tightly controlled by 'starvation', my weight is relatively stable +/- 1kg happy with 40-50g total carbs per day which is my usual now. estimated time before return to daily swim 6+ months

Will see if tolerate getting knocked out anaesthetist been warned already bad with needles and stuff and tried to cancle late monday
