A few years ago, I cut a nettle plant and made myself a tea, and my blood sugar dropped considerably, but not to dangerous levels. I know from artificial intelligence that Ceylon cinnamon and ginger are good seasonings. I just want to know what kind of herbs are good for making infusions for diabetics, and what kind of seasonings or spices are also good. Greetings from Argentina! My name is Marcelo.

Hi @M.A.R. , Marcelo,

Some foods, herbs or infusions are good for diabetics in that they do not raise glucose levels.
There are no foods that actively lower blood glucose by more than a tiny bit (except alcohol, and that has its own downsides).

As a rule of thumb, anything containing carbohydrates will raise blood glucose, and the more grams of carbs you ingest, the more BG will raise.

Using AI will tell you lots of supplements are helpful in diabetes because scared people will try all kinds of stuff, and other people see this as an opportunity to make money.

I love to use ginger, cinnamon and nettles in cooking and it makes no difference at all in my blood glucose, it tastes good though!

As a prediabetic not on medication, low BG is not something you should be worried about.
Dangerous lows are almost always caused by medication, not diet.
