I find it rather sad that people (and dare I say many in the medical profession) seem to regard that a loss of interest in sexual activity as somehow "normal" as you get older - it is about as ridiculous as people who argue that young people under 16 dont have sexual feelings - there are no rules here I can remember sexual interest from before puberty and the interest continues to this day - the problem is that the interest is not matched with desire and capability. I honestly believe that the loss of desire has come about because of a fear or dissappointing my partner physically. I will certainly approach my GP again but recently they actually reduced my monthly supply of cialis on the basis of "new financial guidelines" to just 8 tablets a month and I understand that if I wasnt diabetic I would have trouble getting them at all. However the issue is really not how I get more tablets as they are no longer working very well anyway but how I can convince them that this is still a critical part of my life and important to my well being an the stability of my relationship.
I have to say my partner is VERY supportive but he is (yes we are gay) obviously quite frustrated that the two or three times a week before has now dropped to very occasional moments (increasingly rare as time goes on)
