Any photography buffs in the group?

I am into photography but sometimes my eyes (mist up) which I put down to the diabetes (type2), a quick spray with eye bright (or other propriety brand) helps. How do others deal with this?

Hello Mal
I`m Type one however I tend to use artificial tear drops and then dab off my eyes as the drops do make them watery for a few mins and the tears can dribble down the rear screen of my dslr! but if I`m doing landscapes I`ll put the camera on the tripod and use the live view so its not such a problem then.
The product I use has been recommended by others for Dry eye so if thats what you are having touble with the info about it is here...

BTW I`m very envious of where you live :D
I have some online snaps if you click on the web link under my name to the right of this post it will take you to them
Hope this helps
Alan

New member here, i've been into photography for around 9 years now, based in Millom on the Duddon Estuary not far from the Lakes, have regular trips around the lakes and elsewhere, i'm also type 2 but i never seem to get misty eyes, i'm currently in a slump and trying to find new subjects to cature, for me landscapes get boring rather quickly. https://www.flickr.com/photos/vanzant76/

I had the misfortune to have to go to Millom a few years back.
It's like the end of the world!
Great big jail blotting the landscape with a ticky tacky prison officers housing estate jut plonked there and I have a memory of a derelict corner shop of red brick.
Not my idea of nice I'm afraid.

Lovely photos @Skydog76
I'm very much in to photography as well.
It's more portrait I am in to but like to try my hand at various other genres.
Have you ever thought of doing a Project 52 or Project 365 for inspiration??

lol, it is a bit knackered like and could do with some updating, wouldn't live anywhere else though, the surrounding countryside and beaches are awesome, it might be a bit like the League of Gentleman but it is a nice safe place to live

Cheers, i fancy the idea of portraiture and also live action photography but rarely get the chance, my mate who i go on trips with refuses to do anything but landscapes and long exposure waterfalls, it just doesn't interest me all that must anymore but seeing as it's his car i got to put up with it lol, i did a 365 project in 2013 i lasted till the middle of october and hurt my back so didn't complete it, might try again next year'

Just had a look at your pics David, you got some nice shots on Facebook, shall have a better look when 've got more time and see if i can get any inspiration from them

Thanks very much.

I would recommend a project 52 as the topics are generally given to you.

There is a Facebook page called Open Album which is doing one and they have all the topics for the year set already, allows you to plan ahead a bit.

The wife uses photography in her art work ... she uses a tripod and looks through a little angled screen at the back of the camera when she uses the digital one .. the SLR she still uses the tripod and once focused she plays around with light and things ! I am not a photographer . i take photos with the iPad !:D

I enjoy photoghraphy , but am firmly of the 35mm brigade. Looking forward to some better weather so I can get out and about. I also belong to a small camera club which meets weekly. Some weeks have a model (usually someone that one of the guys has seen in the local supermarket and chatted to to get them to come along) We are currently talking about getting a sound activated switch so we can photograph things like balloons bursting. We've had our own calendar printed last year - about two pictures each, which was fun.
