    Aggghhhhhh....! Accucheck v's Freestyle - accuracy??

    I don't use the same meters as you but have had the same problem with other meters.i am now unaware of "hypo's" so this is critical to me,so I always test with 2 meters and always use the lowest reading,not ideal,but it has worked for me.Roll on to when I get my pump!

    I been diabetic type1 for over 50 years and over the past 2years I have been unable to recognise hypoglycaemia,I therefore getting a pump,but I would happily give up the pump to be able to recognise hypos again as I have excellent control with MDI.

    Ratios are very personal calculation and it' takes a while to work out but only from your own personal experiences.So keep records and eventually a pattern will evolve and you will soon be able to work out your own ratios.

    Age restriction on insulin pump?

    I am 65 and just got approval for a pump and there is a lady of 73 who has had a pump for 9 months,so in my area age does not appear to make any difference.
