Type 2 height or duration of a spike - what do you prefer?

There is so little difference between a short spike of 8 and a slightly longer spike of 7 that it isn't even worth worrying about in my opinion.

Nando's is your friend! Half a chicken with broccoli and halloumi is my go-to.

    Diabetic Review

Thanks guys. Only 10 days in to the new diet, and I managed to register a 4.9 yesterday after walking home from work into a massive headwind! Fasting bloods are still in the 8-10 range, but it's a marathon not a sprint.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

    8.5 today. Steadily coming down.

    Libre for sport not diabetes

If CGM use increases among the general population, it will only help drive down the cost for everybody, including diabetics. It's all good really.

    Happy!

Just had a look and it seems a bit 'hardcore' for me, but I'm glad it's working wonders for you.

10.1 - proving a bit stubborn! Still we continue and remember it's a marathon not a sprint. Good day all!

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

10.7 this morning. Going to go very low carb for a few days and see if I can get that down.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.1 - back down from the 10s which is great. Plenty of exercise yesterday which helped. Also this means I’ve halved my fasting blood glucose in one week!

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

10.6 today. I’m not too concerned as I’ve been experimenting with low carb (around 50-100g) as opposed to keto. The latter brings my BGS down quickly, but it makes me miserable and I struggle to sustain. Hopefully combining the former with Jessie Inchauspe’s hacks will pay dividends in the...

The only low carb Toffees you can get! Well done on survival.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

10.4 I thought I could get away with a sliver of my son’s birthday cake. Appears not! Either that, or it’s the fact I didn’t have my usual couple of glasses of wine.

2nd Review - Depression and High Blood Pressure

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. My diabetes diagnosis coincided with a messy divorce and it was a horrible in which I neglected my health. It does get easier though. Best of luck getting back on track.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Found my other meter (prescribed by doctor) and it was 8.3 after a pepperami and bit of cheese so the 7.5 looks accurate. I’m so pleased.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.5 today! It’s a new box of strips so a bit worried they’re inaccurate. Might have a buy another box to double check.

    Reversal of T2D, then what?

My aim is to get to the stage where I can eat 100-150g of carbs per day without spiking. But I know that day may never come.

    Diabetic Review

Just had a call from the doctor who delivered the news that my A1C is 107. It was 112 back in October, but I don't think that drop would count as statistically significant. Insulin was mentioned, but I pointed out that my BGS drop massively when I stick to LCHF, and asked for a three month stay...
