    Just - One - Cor-net-to!!

I was in Italy a few months ago and didn’t find it a problem. Eggs for breakfast and steak/chicken and salad with a glass of wine for other meals. Veggies also an option. My BG was very low all week with the help of lots of walking. Enjoy your holiday.

Type 2 Is there a section where all videos are to watch?

You are a star @bulkbiker. Thank you so much. I’m sure that will be really helpful in the future when videos are lost in old posts.

Can the rise of T2 Diabetes be termed an Epidemic.

I totally agree. It is very interesting. Why don’t you start a new thread @Hotpepper20000

Type 2 Is there a section where all videos are to watch?

Thanks. Interesting but I’m looking for everything that everyone else here has found if interest so I can “cherry pick” what I need at the time.

Type 2 Is there a section where all videos are to watch?

A lot of members post extremely informative and motivational videos and links that are very helpful and inspirational. Is there a section that they are all in that I haven’t discovered yet? I seem to spend a lot of time reading through old posts to find things I haven’t had time to watch. It...

Type 2 Diet for low income

Remember to check out the reduced section in a supermarket. Every branch is different and worth asking the staff when is the best time to shop. Then freeze or cook and freeze.

    Interesting podcast re low carb

I wasn’t sure where to put this as it covers many topics. I’ll put the link here. Very interesting about the origins of veggie diet and cereals and why it was recommended! [emoji1] http://podcast.app/why-the-war-on-meat-find-out-here-from-dr-gary-belinda-fettke-podcast-e56176197/?share=ios

How long have you been living with Type 2 diabetes and have you always managed to control it well?

Don’t worry I am very clued up on nutrition and do measure. Most people eat far more than required. It’s amazing how it all adds up from things you assume don’t have much or any protein in it.

How long have you been living with Type 2 diabetes and have you always managed to control it well?

Thanks @Jim Lahey. It’s been another piece of the puzzle. I’ve reduced my protein dramatically so have my eggs for breakfast, salad without protein for lunch and dinner has a small amount of protein. That and walking a lot rather than the gym has seen a dramatic reduction I my levels in the last...

How long have you been living with Type 2 diabetes and have you always managed to control it well?

Diagnosed June 2018 with Hba1c in triple figures. Tested three months later and down to 36 which it’s been that way since. LCHF and with the advice here from @Jim Lahey in particular going lower on protein has seemed to help with the blips I have had from time to time. No complications fortunately.

    Advice for a concerned daughter

If she is deeply private then perhaps a forum is the perfect solution to remain anonymous or just read and lurk. Maybe you could register her when she is with you and show her the ropes. Keep her signed in and then she can pick up and read whenever she feels inclined, which may be when she...

    Convenience food

I haven’t read all the above suggestions but I know Sainsbury’s sell pots of hard boiled eggs and spinach. For things that last, nuts, babybel, peperami which don’t need refrigerating. Most supermarkets have meat platters with olives etc in the cold meats section.

    Type 2 CAC Scan

Have you phoned around different hospitals in your area for the price, inc NHS? Paying for tests privately can vary enormously. My MRI was over £300 cheaper paying for it privately at an NHS hospital. BUpA hospitals were the most expensive.

How to calculate my protein intake - type 2

@Jim Lahey, Wound you recommend staying under the recommended protein for one’s body? I am struggling with protein at the moment. Well I think it’s that anyway. I have no idea how low to go. Thanks
