Does anyone know how to turn off the sound on the librelink?

There's a free version should work the same.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=AutomateIt.mainPackage It only stays on silent while the app is in the foreground, basically when it's the app your actually using in screen. When you switch to another app it'll revert back to loud...

What was bad about them? So far mine have been perfect, and at least they seem very happy to replace if any issues. Fingers crossed mine stay good, and yours get better!

Hah! Oh and thanks for the insulin chart, useful. My bg never used to dip at night, and now it's a consistent low, i.e doesn't fluctuate much. It feels like a smallish change to my basal shouldn't have done that, but maybe dropping a couple units is a good experiment. Thanks for the...

Morning may be an interesting change, I've gone from 24 to the 28. I think Lantus is supposed to peak ever so slightly a few hours after injecting? Thanks for the suggestion, I may give it a try. I've always only ever taken it at night so hadn't really thought about that. What's the difference...

    My Freestyle Libre Experience

Both! Yes both tbh. Revelation because I don't have to guess anymore, which I felt like i was doing (which may have accounted me pricking my fingers about 15 times day before the libre). And discipline because I can quickly and easily see undeniable proof if I don't do something I know I...

Another significant change actually, I used to take dextrose whenever my bg was around 4-5. I'd be certain it was about to drop.. Now I can see that if it's 5.0 and has been for the past hour, it's unlikely to move. That's really helped keep me level and avoid big spikes.

Not diet. I've changed my basal after using the libre. Given myself a bit more than I used to, which might have gone towards the night lows, but feels better during the day (may experiment splitting the dose). I've refined my carb ratio a little bit, seeing trends has really helped this. I've...

Thanks, I'm not resting on my laurels. I can see my body saying "this is going too well, better change things up for a bit" lol. I'm on Lantus, once a day before bed. Although I'm contemplating bringing this earlier to help prolonged night lows..

    My Freestyle Libre Experience

Firstly, a disclaimer.. I've been off work for about 10 days while I recover from an operation. I'm active, but it means I've had more time to concentrate on my diabetes management than perhaps I would have if I was at work! (I'm T1 for 19 years). My last hba1c was 7.1, and tends to be around...

Does anyone know how to turn off the sound on the librelink?

You can use something like AutomateIt. You can set it to put your phone to silent when the librelink app opens, then go back to loud when the app is closed. It should do exactly as you want, pretty seamlessly. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=AutomateItPro.mainPackage

New meter forced on me by my doctors

Won't the pharmacies be the ones ordering? My gp gives me the prescription but I can dispense it anywhere. I can imagine they are hoping to put everyone on the cheapest though, not sure 9f they can force people?

    Freestyle libre vs Codefree

It isn't a perfect science, I'd doubt your summary did a little rise in that scenario. I don't think the figures are literal. Same when we use a finger prick, if you do three in a row they will all be different usually. It doesn't mean our bg has actually moved each time. I'm finding the...

    cheapest flash / CGM meter

I just started using the libre. Even if you use one sensor a month for example, that'll give you something to work with.. It's been a massive help for me. My average bg was about 10 the week before using it. I'm 3 weeks in and my last week average was 5.6.

Freestyle Libre - 2 Sensors In

I bet it's because people use Glimp when they can't get access to the official app. But they probably can't get access because Abbott restricted their phone. I think it's to do with the different nfc sensor hardware manufacturers use.

Freestyle Libre - 2 Sensors In

Yeah thanks, sadly my Nexus 6P isn't supported. Glimp suggests the nfc sensor in this phone can damage the libre sensors. I do have a new criteria to add to the things to look for in my next phone now though lol!

Freestyle Libre - 2 Sensors In

I'm a 31 year old, T1 for 19 years, and I'm onto my second sensor now. I've read so much here about the meter, some of it almost put me off trying it. So I thought it might be useful to show my experience. The sensor goes on so easily, neither the first or second have even pinched, literally...
