    Eye issues

Thanks all for your replies. I had a check up at the eye clinic today (I’m about 13 weeks now). I had scans and saw the doctor and she’s content that my eyes are still stable and showing mild background retinopathy. She’ll see me again around 26 weeks. I don’t know if it was standard...

    Walking pad?

Thanks for your reply! I’ll check out the walking pad pro!

    Dexcom One Silent mode

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I don’t think that i can use Shuggah at the moment, I’m currently pregnant and the clinic need to be able to see my clarity reports.

    Dexcom One Silent mode

Thinking I might sync it up with the Shuggah app and use the alarms there instead.

    Dexcom One Silent mode

I’d tend to agree with you! Probably made it cheap to get the NHS to use it as an alternative to the libre. Not loving it so far. It can’t be calibrated worthier, can’t understand why they would remove that feature! It really helps to make the G6 more accurate!

    Dexcom One Silent mode

I used the glance app when I trialled the G6 app and it was great! The One app doesn’t have the ability to add followers unfortunately.

    Dexcom One Silent mode

Hmm this could be a good shout - I’ve used the g6 with my Fitbit and it worked well. The nurse that set me up with the Dexcom one yesterday said that it wouldn’t connect to any watches. Do you use a specific app?

    Dexcom One Silent mode

Yes but as far as I can see, that just gives me the data- no options to tweak the settings.

    Dexcom One Silent mode

Unfortunately the Dexcom One doesn’t connect to any devices except my phone, as far as I know. I’m going to give it a go for a while but if it doesn’t work the way I need it to, I might just self-fund the G6/G7.

    Dexcom One Silent mode

Hi all, Have any Dexcom One users been able to make their alarms work when phone is in silent mode? I was so excited to start the Dexcom One today (it’s the only CGM my hospital will provide), but find it pretty annoying that the alarms don’t override silent mode. The G6 does and so does...

    Walking pad?

Hi everyone, I’ve been looking into getting a walking pad for home use. I have quite high insulin resistance and find that walking can really help to make my insulin more effective and to curb spikes. Sometimes spikes don’t happen at the most convenient times (I.e when I’m working or when...

    Eye issues

Hi All, As a bit of an update, I’m now about 10weeks pregnant! I had an eye screen (coincidentally) about 5 weeks ago which showed background retinopathy. I also saw my own ophthalmologist last September, who couldn’t see the maculopathy found on the previous screening. I have just had a...

Dexcom v Freestyle Libre in pregnancy

I’ve asked my team to look into a CGM for me during pregnancy, but haven’t heard anything yet! Fingers crossed for some good news!

Dexcom v Freestyle Libre in pregnancy

Hi all, Does anyone have any experience in comparing these two CGMs in pregnancy? I’m currently about 7.5 weeks, for the first while I was using a Dexcom and was hitting pregnancy targets about 80-90% of the time. I was having a lot of hypos but started to take that in the last week. I’ve...

    “Hacking” Control IQ

Hi all, I have seen a few tips flying about the internet around how Tandem’s Control IQ can be “hacked” to get even tighter control. I’m currently pregnant and Control IQ targets a BG above where I need to be, especially overnight. I’ve heard that you can, for example, set your correction...

    Swimming

Unfortunately I swim at a local leisure centre, so leaving my kit at the side would probably risk it going missing. I think I’ll turn off the out of range alarm as it woke me twice in the night last night, even though the pump was beside the sensor!! Must have been a compression issue!

    High blood sugar and implantation

Hi @laura66789, I have just had a positive test (freaking out)!! For the past 2 weeks my sugars have been really erratic and my insulin resistance has increased. Not sure if that is a coincidence or caused by hormones??

    Swimming

Hi all, I’m hoping to go swimming today for the first time since starting Dexcom/control iq. Any tips on how to manage all the kit so the “out of range” beeping doesn’t drive the changing room mad? Should I use exercise mode on my way to the pool?

    High after pump site change

I was up at the clinic today and spoke to the nurse about this. She didn’t really have any experience of it happening with anyone else, so encouraged me to call tandem. I called tandem this afternoon and they weren’t much help to be honest. They suggested that the cannula may be kinked and...
