    Freestyle Libre 3

Thanks Hopeful34. I agree, the way things are done in the health authority in which you live seems better than mine. Alas. I am constrained by whatever process has been dictated by the local clinical commissioning group (no matter how illogical/counterintuitive/unhelpful to working diabetics)...

    Freestyle Libre 3

Thanks In Response. I had no idea how pump supplies are dealt with. That gives me hope accessing the Libre 3 won't be as inefficient as I feared.

    Freestyle Libre 3

HM government's (or rather HM Treasury) main aim will be to save money. But denying this game changing new technology to all diabetics is a stupid and false economy. You don't have to be a maths genius to work out it will cost the state far more to deal with the many complications that can occur...

    Freestyle Libre 3

Thanks Kevin Bell. I understand the differences between Type 1 and Type 2, but I have never understood the attitude of successive governments concerning why Type 1s are more deserving if getting technology to manage their diabetes and Type 2s are somehow less deserving, because if a delusional...

    Freestyle Libre 3

Good morning I see the manufacturer has now uploaded a number of videos on You Tube about using the Freestyle Libre 3 which appear to be directed at prospective users in the UK and Ireland. Does anyone have any intel on: 1. Who will be able to use the Libre 3 in the UK? 2. Whether the Libre...

    Libreview app acting strangely

Thank you Jape and Jay Lee. My phone definitely hasn't been near any other NFC device that might trigger activate the Libre app. I have spoken to Abbott customer services and they have gotten me to clear the cache of the Libre app. Hopefully that will do the trick.

    Libreview app acting strangely

Over the last couple of days I've received a "Scan Error" multiple times on my smartphone from the Freestyle Libre Libreview app. The thing is, I haven't tried to scan my Libre 2 sensor at the time, nor has my smartphone been anywhere close enough to the sensor for the Libreview app/NFC to...

    Pharmacy Delays UK

I ordered my repeat prescription 11 days ago. The prescription was signed off by my GP and sent electronically to my pharmacist on the same day I put my repeat prescription in to my GP surgery. I received the usual text message from my pharmacist eight days later. The pharmacist had everything...

    Libre 3

Hello Wijlde. I don't suppose the person you spoke to at Abbott mentioned when they thought the Libre 3 would become available in the UK?

    Issues with Freestyle Libre

I have lost count of the number of Libre 2 sensors that have been faulty since I began using them. Had an applicator that wouldn't insert into a sensor pack because it was poorly fabricated during manufacturing; sensors have given up the ghost well within the stated 14 day run time; have...

    Freestyle Libre 2 needle bent

I just had the exact same issue (put new Libre 2 sensor in arm in the place suggested in the Abbott instruction leaflet; sensor wouldn't start despite repeated requests to restart it). When I took out the sensor the filament wasn't bent or misshaped in any way. Abbott are sending a replacement...

Libre 2 inaccuracy compared to a fingerprick test

Thanks In Response and LionChild. My results just seem almost too good to be true. According to Libreview my time in target is almost perfect; my average glucose is 6.5mmol and my GMI is 6.1% or 43mmol. However, I am going to give the sensor I have on my arm at present the benefit of the doubt...

Libre 2 inaccuracy compared to a fingerprick test

Hello Is anyone else finding that the Freestyle Libre 2 seems to read consistently 3-4 mmols lower than a fingerprick test (even when one takes into account the reported reduced "timelag" between the Libre 2 interstitial fluid test and a fingerprick blood test of just over two minutes)? I've...

Not totally happy with libre 2

Hello, does anyone else find the Libre 2 use of bluetooth drains the battery on their mobile significantly more than usual? I'm finding I have to charge my one year old mobile 2-3 times a day now (was just once before). I wonder if this might improve once the Libre 3 is available finally.

    Annoying libre 2 alarms

I'd give anything if I could get the Libre 2 alarms to alarm on my phone! Had three conversations today with sensor maker customer services; the last one not very helpful (other than to offer replacement sensor). Customer services of my phone maker have done some checks and they are happy my...

Not totally happy with libre 2

I'm having a bit of a nightmare getting the Libre 2 alarms (any of them) to alarm on my phone. The Libre 2 sensors don't appear to want to "pair" with the bluetooth on my phone. Spoke to three of the sensor maker's customer service people so far today. The first two were helpful, the last one...

Not totally happy with libre 2

Hi Elephantsocks. I was wondering what app are you running on the Miao Miao 2? Was it difficult to set up? Thanks.

Libre 1 with miaow miaow versus libre 2 without?

Thanks. I use an android phone. I also have miaomiao2 which I don't mind using provided the setup isn't too intricate. What I don't want is to run into issues with the sensor maker. I'm sure the process mentioned in the link works, but it sounds very convolouted to do every time a sensor is...

Libre 1 with miaow miaow versus libre 2 without?

Thanks. I have had a read of the attached link. Forgive me if I have misunderstood it, However, if I have understood correctly if you follow the instructions suggested, it means that if you use a smartphone data won't get sent to Libreview via Librelink. Is that right? If I have understood...

    FreeStyle Libre Check Sensor message

My understanding is any delay in Libre 2 being added to prescriptions for those whose consultants/diabetes team have recommended it (assuming of course that one's GP has heard of flash or continuous glucose monitoring and the various options available) are still for the most part beng caused by...
