    Started new diet. At last weigh in with surgery nurse last month I had lost 10.2kg in 5 months. It's hard work.

    Thanks chri5. I was told you couldn't have hypo/go low on metformin. But last week on 2 consecutive days I did. One problem on first day..I was at Twycross zoo!! After coffee, sandwich and watching gorillas for 45 minutes I was fine. Frightening experience in though. Second day not so bad...

    Cholesterol Level

    At my last diabetes MOT I'd gotten mine down to 4.1 from 5.5. Were they satisfied? What do you think....course not. It's always 'you can do better' with emphasis on the not so good results.

    My doctor and nurse would disagree with 5.1. I have managed to get mine down to 4.1 and they're still not satisfied. Instead of bxxxxxng at us help us!

    Sounds just like my diabetes mot. When I asked doctor had student with her. So more a case of 'not interested' to me. Thinking of asking to be referred to the hospital

    Why am I tired?

    Snap!! I'm tired when I get up each morning and totally exhausted when I go to bed that night. My BG is 7.6 last blood test. No testing strips so BG isn't stable. I'm 57 and feel so much older

    Lucky you getting strips. I cannot get any. Told the metformin will 'do the job'. I'm going to 'Living With Diabetes' day next month. I'm hoping to get help and advice then especially getting testing strips.

    I have been diabetic since 2006. Until about 2 years ago I could get testing strips and my bg was around 5.5. Since they stopped them my BG has gone up to 7.6 at last blood test.
