Acute Infected Necrotising Pancreatitis and Beyond...

Welcome to the forum @GavinL. That is quite story! I had my own adventure in December 2005, after feeling ill for a month I collapsed after a shift and woke in the emergency admittance ward. I had a heart attack, my bp was 265/130, and my glucose levels were off the scale on the glucose meter. I...

    Unusual hypo.

I can see the funny side in that. I have been in similar situations where I was desparate for glucose or fluids.

    Unusual hypo.

Actually that is quite a perceptive observation. Sometimes I forget to keep my hydration levels up and get really parched. Around hypos I sometimes get raging thirsts.

Feel as though I am a total failure

 Hi @Geminigirl, all of us have had those moments of wanting to throw in the towel. Ranting on the forum is a good move as you have unlimited support here. Letting it out is good therapy, holding it in is disastrous over long term. My first three years as a diabetic were horror without...

Don't worry @licklemoose, we all have our bad days. It is a part of the process of getting accustomed to a new and difficult lifestyle. I went through this only recently and paid dearly for it. Chin up!

    Eyes - not diagnosed

Welcome to the forum @Bulmanboi. As far as I can tell, floaters are not a big problem, but it is a good idea to get a check up to be sure.

What is Normal blood sugar levels for non-diabetic whilst drinking?

I agree, sometime prior to being diagnosed, I turned up a level of 13.6. I was tested by a friend who was t2, and she warned me to get tested asap! I ignored the warning, then woke up in hospital 2 months later. FOOL!!
