    Wallander Miserable?

I only watch the Original ones on BBC4. Can't be doing with the English language version at all but I like gloomy people and dislike heat and sunshine so the mood suits me!

    Your favourite kitchen items

I didn't assume anything other than less carbs often means increasing other foods. I was wondering how many male posters leave most of the cooking to their partners but I thought it sounded almost sexist!

    eye troubles.

Hi. Have you read this ? It's a good place to start although I prefer hearing from people now I know a bit more about the technical side of the condition. Good control is important to stop further damage. It's daunting at first but try not to worry and take it slow as there's a lot of...

    Treats! How often?

A takeaway once a month sounds fine but if you up it to twice a month you'd end up wanting one weekly and falling off the wagon as it's human nature.

    Changes to Retinopathy testing times

I read that some people with good control develop it so testing every two years doesn't make sense although i'm still stumped as to how you develop retinopathy if your numbers are controlled for decades Anyway , i I think its best to have it yearly even if you have to go private or to specsavers.

    Metformin SR

I've been going around in circles with medics' for years so it would be pointless asking them and i'm on new meds anyway. I'll stop it from Sunday and see what happens as can't live like this again and hopefully my other meds will cover me.

Don't involve yourself in the blame game.

In the last six months i've had three medics mention the cost of my treatments and one medicine removed with cost cited as one of the reasons (it was reinstated after I became ill and finally saw a GP who overruled her).

Has anyone ever had a fluorescent angiogram on their eyes?

Re: Has anyone ever had a fluorescent angiogram on their eye I had my first one last month. It was scary because I hadn't heard of them before and the doctor told me I had to have it the next day and made me sign a consent form even though I could hardly see and was on my own. I'm unlucky with...
