    Stop finger pricking!

I second that. I real game changer. I would even say it definitely is life changing. If you can, get one.

Being forced to change my meter.

The report said they had no contact from a number of manufactures including codefree.

    What meters does everyone use

Nothing wrong with the Verio IQ, great little meter. I was doing a danfe course and the Accu Chek Expert has a built in bolus advisor which we were encouraged to use.

    Driving Company Miles

You must carry everything you need all the time whatever car you are in. Plus carry extra hypo treatment and snacks. What would you do if the car broke down, you might be waiting hours. I do 100s miles per week, driving 3 or 4 cars a day. I carry everything in a small bag which never leaves my side.

    Problems getting balanced

A danfe course also told me not to do the 2 hour post meal check. But I do.

Type 1: Travelling without a letter?

I fly quite a lot. I've only been asked for a letter once. All I've ever carried is the repeat prescription form which was fine.

    Sudden drop in basal requirements

I've just had similar. Gone from 72 units/day combined doses of levemir to 52 units. But I've recently completed a danfe type course and been adjusting and tweaking quite a lot over the past 2 months.

Type 2 Newbie - high readings?

If you're diet controlled you don't need to worry about low readings as they won't happen. But you will need to see your diabetes team about the high readings.

Type 2 Newbie - high readings?

Hi. Are you type 1 or type 2, what meds are you treating the diabetes with?

    What meters does everyone use

One Touch Verio IQ until recently, then after a Dafne type course I switched, as advised to a Accu Chek Aviva Expert. My latest toy is the Freestyle Libre.

    Type 1: Travel Abroad

Hi. I've travelled a lot and only been asked once for any back up evidence. All I carried is the prescription form you get when you collect your meds and that was fine.

    Medtronic Guardian.

Thanks for that I'll give them a call on Monday. I'm sure you're right and it will be more expensive than the Libre. I really like the Libre system anyhow but just wish the Libre would allow me to use the bolus advisor from scanned BG's.

    Medtronic Guardian.

Does anyone know how much the Medtronic Guardian CGM is? I've got a Freestyle Libre now which I must say I'm pretty impressed with. Just wish the sensors were cheaper.
