    I just feel it's an area that many, many people have direct control over, but choose to proportion blame elsewhere. If as a society we don't push against serious issues like obesity, what does the future hold? Is it gong to be socially acceptable and the norm for everybody to be obese.

    I don't think anybody is fighting, just stating fact. Protein impacts blood sugars and will skew basal results. Perhaps not a couple of grams of protein.

    Red wine and spirits with zero carb mixers will always lower my blood sugar. Lager, beers, white wines etc will make it go sky high.

    At one point I was eating about 50 eggs a week haha, no impact at all on my cholesterol. I buy egg white in 2pint containers because I'm a lazy ******, been known to drink it raw a la Rocky or add it raw to smoothies. Never had any issues. I'll probably change my tune if I get salmonella one...

    Which pump? The Medtronic or the accu-chek insight? To be honest most pumps are much of a muchness, both the insight and the 640g are excellent pumps. I spent four years on the accu chek combo which is the model below the insight, it was a great pump but I fancied trying something different...
