    NHS Dietitian Contradicting Himself

Surely the cheating is being done by our Health Care Professionals, by treating the symptoms - not the causes. By using drugs to prevent sugar entering the blood stream, doesn't that give a false reading? Surly by restricting the intake we are doing nothing more than operating within our...

    I've got Lidl rolls

SKU = Stock Keeping Unit Or the code number the computers know it as. If you change the product (by making a different size for example) you should change the SKU It could be that managers are re-ordering on an SKU that is now obsolete

    Diabetone Vitamins

@deathbycoke IMHO they are over priced. From memory they contain an array of vitamins and minerals that are considered useful, but can be obtain individually much cheaper. Chromium and Vit B array being the pick of crop

    Preventing ED

@Clifton556 It is no trivial matter, it also involves a partner too. They may not voice their opinion, but it is worth asking them. See you Dr. It might be related to diabetes, but then again it might not. As @bulkbiker says, controlling your BG's can only help

    PHE and the future diet.

Ggggrrrr @ middle class twaddle. For folks who are at the lower end of the income spectrum, every penny counts. Teadstone, and other wealthy scroungers off the state don't have to budget, those on Universal Credit (or still waiting for it) do! For them the likes of pasta, potatoes, and wheat...

Diabetes on Jeremy Vine show earlier today

That is about the only bit I could get my head round. Years ago most work was manual (blue collar) type, even in the office there was a requirement to carry heavy ledgers about. In the typing pool (remember them?) Doris would hammer the keys, using energy in the process. We walked from office...

    Being told to die

@W.bubble13 That is awful, bullying with brass knobs on! Is there a designated Pastoral Care officer at school? If so have you spoken to them? I think your Mum should seek an urgent meeting with the Head Teacher, and write to the Chair of Governors. IMHO if the school has failed to act then the...

Type 2 Very high bg after breakfast

@Olufisayo most root vegetables are very high in carbs, and I am not aware of many T2's who can keep the Blood Sugar increase to acceptable levels after eating them. If you don't have access to eggs or plain yoghurt, would you be able to miss this meal altogether and break you fast at lunchtime?
