    GAD results received omg!

Thanks for this. It’s not sunk in really yet pleased it’s black and white now. If I can manage it and not put on any more weight (as I had lost 3 stone) yet I’ve put on 7 pounds this last week. So I’m not producing insulin suddenly at this age? I got diagnosed coeliac only 2 years ago too and...

One week in to my new insulin regime. Nurse rang with weekly catch up and GAD results saying normal is 0-5 and I am 2000!! I’m like jeez! So I’m definitely T1 at age of 58 and insulin dependent. However she didn’t explain what that high GAD means?

Yes I am doing it correctly but always have to squeeze finger as hardly any blood, also often I can see my blood colour is pale like watered down and that’s when Error 4 appears.

When titrating insulin up, I get palpitations, clammy after few hours

Hi, I’m Type 1.5 and prescribed insulin for just one week. Been told to titrate up 2 notches every 2 days to get my high readings lowered. I’ve done this twice this week, today I started on notch 14 of insulin pen and after my very low carb dinner (realised I’d had too many carbs for breakfast...

    Type 2 Defrosting berries

It’s very hot in the uk today and I decided to get frozen berries including frozen cherries and melon balls from the freezer to eat with Greek yogurt. My mmol is raised to 6.7 after this and I wonder if it was because I decided to pop berries in microwave as they weren’t thawing quick enough...

I was put on Metformin straight away as score 10.3 but I didn’t know I was prediabetic 2 years else I would’ve changed my diet (best I could as also newly diagnosed coeliac) so I’m there grabbing all the gluten free carbs in...
