This is probably true. Given what happened last couple of days before this where sugars raised slightly I did eat a tiny bit less to ensure that I wouldn't go too high. Might be the cause! Thanks for the help. Will eat more for the same for the same bolus next couple of days and see how it goes...

Usually 10 mins before, around 5 weeks. Don't use a Libre and I do rotate sites. It might be one of those things, but I've noticed that after lunch I usually go up 2-3 which obviously isn't ideal!

Before I started delaying the bolus, I never noticed going low initially (not to say it never happened), but I was always in the 12s or so before bed. When going to bed, it is always around 4/5 hours or so after eating dinner, so the insulin would be wearing off around then.

Hi, I've noticed after eating spaghetti bolognese, my blood sugar is around 12 or so before bed. I've heard people split their dose for spaghetti & pizza, but what is a good starting point for experimenting with this? When should I do my injections and what percentage for these meals?

You're right, the pen does go up higher, I didn't realise! So what you're saying is I should probably inject insulin 15 minutes or so before I eat the sweets, and at the same time for other things?
