Brownies, made these last week and they have been a big hit

The nutrition values seem American, does this mean the fibre can be subtracted from the total carbs? 8.6g would be too much for me to bother trying, but 4.3g carbs... that's more tempting.

    Daily Treats

I usually either have a Cadbury's Highlights hot chocolate (4g carbs) with cream or two squares of Lindt 90%. At the moment my daily treat is my Milkybar advent calendar at 1.9g carbs per piece - white chocolate is my favourite and deeply missed so I am appreciating it very much.

    Type 2 Meal replacement shakes

I lost 2 stone using the Tesco Ultraslim shakes. Instead of milk which leads to 26g carbs per shake, I use almond milk and 45ml cream to keep the calorie content the same but it halves the carbs.

What's the biggest glucose spike you've had?

The highest - that I know of! - was 16.6 on diagnosis a few months ago while eating a diet full of carbs. Didn't really understand what that meant until I came home, googled and found that normal readings should be around ten mmol lower!

I am trying to do the same now, even just walking to a different set of doors in the office is an extra 50 steps! Every little helps :)

    Celeriac recipes

Hi all! Still relatively new to this low carb lifestyle and learning about different foods. I've seen a few people mentioning they have celeriac and Tesco is telling me it's only 2.3g carb per 100g - seems like a bit of a wonderfood!! I've never had it before. I was wondering how good of a...

    Regular moderate exercise log

Hello everyone, first post to this thread! Just started doing more 'regular' exercise getting 10k steps a day. My office job keeps me sedentary and I used to average only 3k steps a day but since diagnosis a few months ago have been trying to do more by walking on my treadmill. I know it's not...

    Rise in BG after exercise

Thanks @Goonergal and @catinahat for your responses and for the information pack, very informative. That's what I was thinking, but like I say, still new to all this so wasn't entirely sure. I'll keep at it :)

    Rise in BG after exercise

Hi all! Apologies if this has been asked before - I am quite new to all this. I was diagnosed with Type 2 a few months ago and ever since I been making changes - a LCHF diet, intermittent fasting, testing, and taking moderate exercise in an attempt to lose weight. I've got a Fitbit to help me...
