You've misread my post. I'd like Type 2 for Christmas.

    Here comes the insulin

My doc thinks it's just wringing the last insulin out of a fairly ******** pancreas. He reckons only a 13% I'm Type 2, but here's hoping. :D

    Gliclazide is it that bad?

I'm on it just now. Needing the dose adjusted, I think, as it seems to be working too well. I'd take with confidence.

I thought about doing that, but want to hear it from the Doctor first. Really don't want to take chances. Good to know though, cheers. :D

    Here comes the insulin

So, still don't know what type I am. But it appears that the Glicazide is working too well as I've just had my 2nd hypo in 18 hours. Clinic closed, so called NHS 24 to discuss strategy. Call handler was class. "Hello, what seems to be the problem?" "I'm a recently diagnozed diabetic. Type...

    Explaining which 'type'

'They' wanted me not to do it in the Tea room. 'They' actually suggested the toilets! The first aid room was my idea as I couldn't find anywhere else.

    Explaining which 'type'

My current speech is fun: "I'm a diabetic. No I don't know which type yet. My blood gave conflicting results. So they're treating me as Type 2 with diet and meds and I'm testing at a Type 1 frequency as my Doctor thinks there is an 87% chance that I'm type 1. My pancreas seems to be dying, but...

    Home and Away

Sadly my co-workers are currently using Home and Away as their primary source of information regarding my diabetes. Good times.

Well that seems to settle it once and for all.

    Levels prior to sleep.

Cool. Good to know we're all on the same page on this. Was 4.4 before bed last night. Always seem to hit mid to low 4s the evening of a lunchtime gym visit.

    Levels prior to sleep.

My doctor told me that I want to be at 6mmol before going to sleep. I usually view anything over 5.6mmol as being ok. What guidelines does everyone else follow?

    Post 1st Hypo

Hi, in the past 6 weeks I got diagnosed as Diabetic. The consultant hasn't given me a definitive Type diagnosis yet as he's waiting on tests. Treating as Type 2 for just, but he reckons I'll be Type 1. Anyway, had my first Hypo last night. Not too bad, only 3.9mmol. Felt light headed and as if...

My friend is taking me out to China Buffet King today. I can't find any information online about sugar contents for their meals. Does anyone know how safe they are or whither I should insist on going somewhere else?

Eh, did Phoenix not say he was in fact one of those adults?

    Not believed

Lilibet, that presumption lies right at the heart of my problems just now. I'm a little disappointed to run into them here.
