Last week my Diabetic consultant told me i should get the blood testing monitor that checks keytones ..... He made me an appointment with the diabetic nurse for this comming week to sort it out. I will let you know what the outcome is :wink:

My consultant is reluctant to put me back onto short acting Pork insulin , after 4 years of being on "human" as he is worried i will hypo often, does anyone know if this is true ? or why it might have this effect. Cheers ....

Today i will be mostly complaining about the surgeon who operated on heel back in May, he removed a large abscess . He introduced himself to me 6 months ago on a hospital ward, not by name but " how many cigarettes do you smoke ", he then asked me if i like my legs and wanted to keep them ...

I used to get excited when i saw things like this, run to my GP and say " when is my turn " It does say "were able to eliminate symptoms of Type 1 diabetes" I suppose thats totally different to eliminating type 1, but still worth a :mrgreen: and lets hope they carry on with the good work and...
