    Safe fruit

    Unripened fruit. Lower sugar in these, they don't taste too bad. I have been eating these for years. Strawberries with artificial sweetener. Add fruit to sugar free jelly. Ripe fruit high sugar, good if your sugar is low. A ripe banana does the trick.

    I have my Diabetic Retinopathy check up yearly and my optician is also a specialist and I have been told that my eyes have no signs of me having any problems. It is hard to believe I have had Type 1 Diabetes for 48 years. Just look after yourselves.
