    Anyone else get muscle twitching?

I haven't noticed any real correlation between the twitching and blood sugar levels. Been twitching for 5 1/2 years now. Like you, the anxiety really got to me. I think it makes everything worse! I went from prediabetes to Type 2, and now blood sugar in normal range. Didn't really seem to...

    Neuropathy - question

How long have you had this issue? Did it come on gradually, or all at once? How is your control? For me, the burning pain in my feet came on suddenly AFTER I got my glucose levels back to a normal range. It's been two and half years now and my feet are better. They were pretty painful the...

Can things start to feel worse before they get better?

You know, technically if you are drinking light beer and eating salted peanuts that shouldn't be overly carb heavy. Just sayin...:)

    So.....about bulletproof coffee?

I've read a lot of people doing keto like to drink bulletproof coffee. This means coffee with cream, butter and maybe MCT oil. My question is if you add a couple of packets of artificial sweeteners (like say Splenda), how does that change anything? The artificial sweeteners have no carbs. I...

I have Covid right now as well. My blood sugar is running about 30% higher than normal. Hoping it goes back down soon.

COVID vaccine and extremely high blood sugars

Anyone experiencing higher blood sugar levels as a result of actual Covid? I am Type 2, no meds. Tested positive for Covid this morning. Symptoms are mild so far, and hoping they don't get any worse. I am vaccinated. However, my blood sugar levels seem to be running about 25% higher than...

Who Says You Can’t have a Low Carb Christmas!

Well done! You did a hell of a lot better than I did. I completely fell off the wagon the past couple of days. So many pies, Christmas cookies, etc available. I ate things I normally don't. Checked my blood sugar, and was surprised it wasn't worse. So I ate more! Not a great idea. Back...

    Neuropathy and food/drugs

All I did was change my diet to LCHF. No meds. Blood sugar quickly got back in to normal range.....and then the pain came on.

    Neuropathy and food/drugs

I don't know that I notice a difference after food intake. For me, I had no pain or numbness upon diagnosis in April, 2019. After lowering my A1C from 8.3% to 5.9% in 3 months, and later to 5.2%, I started getting a burning pain in both feet. Came on suddenly. It was pretty bad, and with...

    New Coke Zero

Anyone else tried it, and find it isn't as good as the old formula? After diagnosis two and a half years ago, I cut out regular soft drinks for obvious reasons. Needed to find a diet cola that I liked. Really liked Coke Zero, and now Coke has changed the formula and I don't like it as well...

    TIND

    Burger without the bun

That's tough for me. I don't like veggies on my burger, so I go with mustard, ketchup and cheese and the bottom bun only. Not perfect, but works ok for me.

    Diet drinks.

I drink way too much Coke Zero and Diet Dr Pepper. I'm guessing it isn't healthy and I need to cut back.....but they don't raise blood sugar.

Atkins has some pretty good low carb chocolate covered almonds here in the US.

Involuntary movements of fingers and feet

If you are referring to muscle twitching, I've had that for years. Well before I became diabetic. It's annoying, but everything checked out ok on my nerve tests. Not sure it is related to diabetes at all. Would love to find a remedy.

coca cola craving/coca cola zero and lchf

I had fatty liver prior to diagnosis when I used to drink regular cokes. It went away when I changed my diet. So far the diet drinks don't seem to be an issue for that. I do think, however, they create hunger cravings.
