Sorry I should have been clearer the rabe for a negative result is between 0 and 5 and my result came back as 787 so a very.high positive.

Hi All, I posted in type 1 but may be better off here in LADA. 34, normal weight, on insulin within 2 years diagnosis, GAD result came back 787 range is 0-5 :O Does this mean I'm defo LADA as my current diagnosis is type 2 which I've thought all along was wrong :(

I took those steps, started on metformin, then gliclazide then levels got to about 25 average and I begged them for insulin. Best thing I ever did!!! Was debating paying private but just bugged my doctor. I was first refused a c peptide test, they said this one was better!!

My fasting at diagnosis at 31 was 22mmol. Now I'm anew here between 7-10mmol as I'm not on insulin!! Yes it's taken a load of stress to get this far just hope I get a hospital referal now!

Exactly how I felt when she said it haha. Which is why I'm wondering if I should take my compliant higher really. It's dangerous enough with people not being clued up, but a doctor issuing that advice is beyond shocking x

I have little insulin resistance if any. Metformin and low carb didn't work neither did Gliclazide as I pretty sure my own insulin production is not good...I suspect I'm LADA just need the blood tests to prove it x

I eat lowish carb. I'm not overweight either...I could lose a few pounds bit not enough to make a difference and i believe I have little insulin resistance as proven by the metformin not working :(
