    Distal Pancreatectomy

I am diabetic on insulin following acute pancreatitis when my distal and body of the pancreas disintegrated. I only have pancreas head which does not produce insulin. I may be able to answer some queries. I take humalog 25 mix twice a day. Some call this type 3c diabetes or brittle diabetes.

Am i allowed test strips now that i am on Metformin?

Not usually. They seem to think only those on insulin need to control their BG's. But no harm in asking.

    Eating Out for a vegetarian.

I have issues with the Wetherspoons menu so I rarely go there as they are also inflexible as regards changing items on the menu. Marstons chain of eateries are very accommodating and will cook up a meal to suit you request. I have also found a very good independent small bar in Lichfield that...

    Diabetes log book

Glucomen site is not the most friendly to navigate of sites. But have a good look at the categories, just enter all the links and you should get what you want. My nurse also has control solution. If the practice subscribes to a brand of meter they get given lots of goodies for patients.

    Diabetes log book

My diabetes nurse keeps a stock for patients. Just ask for one. The website for whoever make your BG monitor will have accessories that you can order, usually free and free p+p. I use the glucomem rx nexus and the company sent me the usb cable to upload data to my computer.

    On Question time tonight

Never seen such a heated battle on Question time before. I don't really like RB or Farage. Should have put both of them out to graze (fight) on anyones lawn but mine.
