Great thanks Antje! It concerns the long shaped sprite cans of 25 ml. I bought mine at Flink ☺️ but I think AH also sells them.

High bg after drinking Sprite “zero” ?

Dear fellow type 1s, I’ve noticed this before and today again! After drinking so-called ‘Sprite Zero’ i’m getting abnormal high glucose levels. I was around 10 mmol/l this evening after having dinner. Before I had been at the gym, so lower blood glucose were to be expected for the evening. But...

    Covid and type 1

In my case it took about a week after getting better to return to normal levels. So i’d always check carefully before taking extra high doses of insulin in case the insulin is getting more effective again.

Nightguard app error (freestyle libre) ?

I found a fix. In my case apparently the Gluroo app had logged out. In Gluroo I signed back in with my Apple ID (google account is also possible) and the values are shown again on apple watch! Edit: despite this fix works to succesfully show bg on apple watch again, it does not fix the false...

Nightguard app error (freestyle libre) ?

Hardly updating automatically. I changed the apple watch homescreen to ‘modular’. You can then set the values on your watch homescreen. Then its just one click to go into the app and to refresh manually. Beware that no updates at all will happen if your phone is not with you or if you have no...

Nightguard app error (freestyle libre) ?

Dear all, Some weeks ago I set up my apple watch to constantly show my bg level (derived from my freestyle libre 3 sensor) I completed all the steps as in the video below, installing among other things the ‘Nightguard’ app, which is able to show bg values on your apple watch: Apart from...

    Dawn phenomenon

I also have the dawn effect. I take 2/3 units of fast acting insulin in the morning before getting up. I also take the basal insulin at the same time. If im able (timewise) to snooze one or two times after that, the insulin will be working when i get up and go into the shower. In the shower I...

    Dawn phenomenon

I have it too..but for me the biggest rise appears when I wake up and get from sleep to active mode. Often I would be between 6-8 mmol when I wake up around 8 am. Then I take 2 mmol of fast insulin and 20 mmol of lantus, go to shower and my Libre will start beeping within 10 minutes because of...

    Insulin change

I think i use around 1 or 2 strips a month as long as I have a Libre on. In cases where I dont trust the Libre reading. In my case the readings were less accurate on holidays when i was a lot in the sea, so i did some more testing there. Other occasions I use more testing strips, are when the...

Advice for managing diabetes and lowering hba1c

Hey Ash, Get a freestyle libre if possible. Its way better than blood checks. It helped me a lot in avoiding hypo’s and managing my diabetes. Diet-wise. This is just how I do it, but for me it works to at least avoid carbs in the morning. I dont eat breakfast, as my bg goes up in the morning...

    Libre 2 Sensor

I have to contest that iphones are useless, as i am currently using an iphone 8. The applicstion runs fine in the background and alarms and readings are mostly available. With my former i phone SE 2nd gen I had a technical issue after a while, as its internal NFC chip stopped working...

    Libre 2 Sensor

I use Hansaplast sport tape if my sensor seems loose. It breaths well and you can even get it off without taking the sensor off at the same time. It keeps the sensor there. I think it’s this one below (i always buy it in a local shop). I always use the black tape which looks cool...

Dear all, I wanted to share my experiences regarding infections that i got under my skin through my Freestyle Libre sensor. First time it happened in 2022. Dreaming of blòod sugars

I think its somekind of warning mechanism from your body, in order to alert you. Also your brain functions are affected by high or low sugars, andso are your dreams. I also get strange dreams on hypo or hypos. Its better than noticing nothing and getting into a coma:)
