    Libre 2 questions

Just to support the reply by Kingsmac. I have been using Libre for over 6 years. It can be life changing but does take a little time to gain its full advantage. After 6 years, I am still learning about it but it was immensely useful after just a few weeks and I certainly feel it saved me from...

    Car hypo treatment

GlucoRX Gel has a shelf life over 2 years and is quick acting 15gm. Comes in a tube with tear off top then allowing you to slowly suck gel into mouth. While I also carry Glucotabs, they need to be held in mouth to be quick acting, hence concerns over choking. The key to quick action is that...

Smart watch teamed with Android phone - to show BG reading from Libre 2

Look at the App Store - it has a review. The developers look at this and sometimes reply …. ;)

Smart watch teamed with Android phone - to show BG reading from Libre 2

connection from LibreView directly to watch is not available yet though it is supposed to be planned. Probably held up by current upgrade fiasco. It is possible using the Juggluco .com app. Linking to Samsung watch. :

Is libre app rollout complete as still no email from them and sensor only has 24 hours left

I understand that the update is being “rolled” out over the next few days. So some devices (cellphones) will have if sooner than others. This time they are testing before general release …. hopefully

Issue with Libre - blank screen

My original post here suggested that Android users had fewer problems and I suggested Shuggah as the useful addition to get IOS users out of the problems. There are still a few issues with Some installations on Android. The Android solution is Juggluco .com. It also will work in parallel with...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

The accuracy of both LibreLink and Shuggah, and indeed Juggluco .com, all vary a little due to different lag reduction algorithm. Not that 1 or 2 mmol will make much difference if levels are swinging markedly. Not worth considering different readings, and certainly not with blood sticks! The...

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Those with android can download Juggluco .com . It has similar features to Shuggah and can work in parallel with the LibreLink app.

Issue with Libre - blank screen

The Libre has a greater lag reduction algorithm so oFten is more accurate in rapid change.

Issue with Libre - blank screen

Android users seem to have escaped. This is an iOS issue for the new Abbott software. A simple solution is just to download Shuggah from the Apple Store and use that with your existing sensor until Abbott get their act together. Abbott farm out their software development and past history has not...

Anyone else get wildly inaccurate Dexcom readings?

An interesting aspect of meter AND strip is the use of their test (control) solutions. Even with Contour. Look at the acceptable Range. ;)

Anyone else get wildly inaccurate Dexcom readings?

Try taking a number of finger pricks and compare them. Remember that CGM take readings every minute(Libre) or 5 minutes (Dexcom) and average them. So many reasons for blood strips to be inaccurate, never mind the meter itself. Look up the medical trials on all the systems and see the real...

Type 1 Disposal of Free style libre 2 sensors and applicator

Does anyone have simple matches any more? Touch any flame to the sensor filament and it simply sterilises and disappears. The applicator is a little more complex but a screwdriver simply releases the spring and pliers or tweezers pulls out the little needle for the sharps box Why waste NHS money...

Freestyle Libre 2 - constant false signal loss alarms

After having so much frustration with Libre apps, I tried JugGluco and found it allowed checking out of range every minute. This allowed a much better test. The key problem arises when the sensor is Too Close to the reader. Better or more reliable Bluetooth reception is found when the phone or...

Is it safe to take metformin without a doctor's appointment

Metformina is available OTC in Spain for about £1 a box (50). Cheaper than U.K. prescription if not PWD. However SR is not normally available. Despite getting it on script in the U.K., I just purchase in Spain and save the NHS some money. It has a long shelf life.
