    Pains in toes

Daft question but how do you know that it's nerve damage...caused by DB? I've been into see my GP today to follow up on my blood tests and BP. ( results not through yet) He was saying that diabetic neuropathy is a very slow burn...I think he wasn't being sarky... and believes that my high BP...

    Freestyle libre

Back using it, as finger pricking is a PITA ( if you will). Sure they are pricey and I don't expect that to drop anytime soon. At the moment, as noted, they are rationing them out even to current customers...so the chance of the prices dropping are between nothing and less.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

15!!!! Never seen a figure like that, even on a carb binge. This was after a day with under 5g of carbs all day. Blood tests tomorrow... oh the joys.

    Hated for being diabetic

To me it sounds more of a case of self loathing...as opposed to any genuine hatred of You, J9.

    Leg and foot pain

Looking for some advice in this, if possible. As noted earlier, I've been showing all the 'classic signs' of DN. Pain in the big toes, heel pain and itching, calf cramps, general allover itching and aching ankles. Apart from the aching ankles, if I'm stood still for some time, it's all but gone...

Fudge anyone? FreeStyle Libre question in the House.

If you spell it that way, yes.

Don't involve yourself in the blame game.

That is oh so true. I am, however, totally blaming myself for the latest apparent symptom of my DB ( pricking sensations etc). OK! you could say that one was simply unlucky but you do create your own luck...to a degree.

    Type 1 Freestyle libre

I found/find it to be very good. Yes, as noted, it's not 100% BUT I cannot abide finger pricking. But...as I didn't cross reference with a more traditional meter...it seems that my bloods were still to high for comfort. As one who liver dumps for fun, it was interesting to see that when I got up...

Fudge anyone? FreeStyle Libre question in the House.

I struggled getting hold of more sensors, I put it down to site issues. I used to buy a few box fulls, now we are stuck to 3 at a time. We will see what my own GP says about having them prescribed, that would be excellent and the savings would be very welcome.

    Revitive Advanced

...,I hope it does help. At the moment it feels like my left big toe is on fire. HORRENDOUS. Kind of hoping it's my big toe's way of thanking me...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

3 coffees...one with milk, the other cream. No sugar. Smoked salmon from Aldi with fried Halloumi. Beef jerky ( surprisingly 'high' in carb) Rib eye steak and two sausages. Pepsi max.

    Revitive Advanced

Forgive me if I've stuck this in the wrong place... Due to the pain, tingles and numbness that has very recently manifested - itself I've invested in one. On my first go I wound it up to the mid 40's and it felt great. Extremely relaxing ...except when the thing decides to really give you a...

    Not quite a newbie...

Most kind and thank you. I've beaten myself up quite badly over the past few days...and, now, well it's now time to take things very seriously. I will try the supplements you suggest and my revitilse advanced that will arrive at mine tomorrow. Once I've finished installing the downstairs shower...

    Not quite a newbie...

Hi, I was a regular contributor on here at one time and as I appeared to have everything under control...I went off and did other things. Firstly, forgive me and secondly...how wrong was I? I came off Metformin (500mg a day) two yrs ago as the gains I was seeing in a reduced blood glucose...
