    Ezetimibe

Thank you for your reply, after googling in the night and seeing the terrible reactions people have to this drug and as you say not seeing much beneficial evidence I stopped it today. In fact a couple of the people who reviewed it called it the Drug of Satan! because they had ended up in...

    Ezetimibe

Thank you I will spend some time researching this all and not just take the 'experts' word for it. I have enough drugs that I have to put into my body for the diabetes, blood pressure. They have asked me to get more active and take this Ezetimibe, which in theory sounds marvellous until you...

    Ezetimibe

Thank you so much for your wise words. You are echoing exactly what my husband has said. I did not take it this morning and I am going to inform both the hospital and the diabetic nurse that I am not going to go back on them as they make me feel so awful. Again, thank you.

    Ezetimibe

Hi, I have type two diabetes and my diabetic nurse was concerned about the 'bad cholesterol' I have. I cannot take statins as they make me very poorly. I was referred to a lipid clinic at our local hospital and was then prescribed Ezetimibe tablets. 10mg one a day. I haver now been on them...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I really try to have our dinner by 6, but work pressures at the moment dont allow and tbh after a 12 hour working day the thought of exercise after my meal at 7.30 horrifies me! Im going to try and get us back on track for earlier dinners and step up the dog walking. Im also going to try and...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Yes, I think your probably right. I would normally try not to eat after 6, which is when I get the 6 plus readings, 7.30 is quite late and obviously I dont do anything after eating either.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.3 :woot: I cant believe that one! normally around 6.5. I have had to start eating my dinner much later than normal at the moment due to work commitments, so dont normally sit down to eat until around 7.30. I did have a mug of peppermint tea before I took the reading as I totally forgot to...

Type 2 and home laser removal tools

Hi, Not sure if this is a weird question. I am thinking of getting a Philips Laser Hair removal product. Someone told me that if you have diabetes you cant use these? Has anyone else heard this or have had experience with using one of these machines? Want it for facial and other body hair...

    High blood sugar levels

Ive been on the metformin ever since I was diagnosed and probably about two years for the dapagliflozin. Thats why I keep mentioning the high sugars in case they have something to do with whats ever wrong with me. I know GP's are just that, they are general medicine, but its frustrating when I...

    High blood sugar levels

Hi, Im on one metformin 500mg and one dapagliflozin 10mg a day, plus one for cholesterol and one for blood pressure. Im not the best at sticking to a low carb diet, I will admit, but at the moment Im hardly eating anything as Im so worried at what is actually wrong with me. I am still trying...

    High blood sugar levels

Hi Ellie, its not so much the sugar levels that are being ignored, but they are, its the feeling unwell and nobody really listening to what Im saying. You know when something is not right in your body and they just seem to be putting it down to stress and a bad back! My bloods this morning are...

    High blood sugar levels

Hi Andy, Thanks so much for replying. I have always had fairly high sugar levels in the morning sometimes as much as 8, but at the moment, they are over 9 and this morning 10.1 Which is very high for me in the morning.

    High blood sugar levels

I have been feeling quite poorly lately and have been back and forwards to doctors who cant seem to find out whats wrong. I have had various blood tests which the only one that showed anything different was a slightly raised white blood count, which may or may not have been to a UTI, which I was...

Type 2 Diabetes medication side effects?

Yes, she phoned me this morning. Our GP surgery are not doing face to face at the moment. We talked it through and she said I should have gone to her before now and told her how bad they were getting. She has taken me off them immediately and she is going to ring me in a couple of weeks to...

Type 2 Diabetes medication side effects?

I have looked at the side effects after I posted on here and before I phoned my doctor, which is where I saw that a lot of the side effects were happening to me. When you say deflect from something else going on, what do you mean? Can you give me some ideas what else it might be. You have...

Type 2 Diabetes medication side effects?

I have spoken to the doctor this morning and she was shocked at the side effects so she has taken me off them all together, we will speak again in two week and see if things are getting better. She also advised to buy a blood pressure monitor and we can talk about the results of that at the...

Type 2 Diabetes medication side effects?

I have type 2 and I have been on metformin - 500 mg and dapagliflozin - 10mg for nearly five years. About four months ago I was prescribed an additional tablet - saxagliptin - 5mg. Since then I have had a terrible headache, 24/7 and then this week I have started to itch all over and bad cramps...

Type 2 I am still in denial after 8 years

I was diagnosed six years ago and I am still totally in denial. At first, probably for about a year I stuck to my low carb and watched everything that I ate, never looking at anything which was high in sugars. I exercised and walked every day. Then I started to slip, a little treat here and...
