Newcastle diet starting Monday, done it once who gonna join me on my journey??

Ditto that and Steve's comments above. Where I used to grab some biscuits when I felt hungry, I keep some bottled sparkling mineral water on the go all the time and it fends off the hunger pangs.

Newcastle diet starting Monday, done it once who gonna join me on my journey??

What's really a great incentive is monitoring my BG levels since being on this diet. From being all over the place prior to starting on 23rd April, the very rapid reduction over the following days to a nice regular band of readings: Who says that self-monitoring type 2 is a waste of time...

Newcastle diet starting Monday, done it once who gonna join me on my journey??

Cheers @brettsa. One other thing is the drop in food bills when shopping at the moment too! Looking forward to moving on to LCHF regime at the end as I did "do Atkins" & quite liked it several years ago - I do like my meat.

Newcastle diet starting Monday, done it once who gonna join me on my journey??

Thanks for the "heads-up" Steve. It's some sanwiches & cakes and the other half insists we take some cakes home for young son, who is having an overnight camp with Beavers nearby, so hopefully not OTT too much.

Newcastle diet starting Monday, done it once who gonna join me on my journey??

Just checked every thing for my 3 week milestone and updated my signature box. Total weight loss 19lbs (8.6Kgs), BP dropped from 140+/85+ to regular 116/74, blood glucose averages falling. All in all, very pleased with myself to date. I have a pre-planned hotel "afternoon tea" on the shores of...

confused with newly started Newcastle Diet after just one day lol.

I am now 18 days into a ND regime using Exante products, mainly because they offer 100% of daily nutritional requirements in 3 servings - 200 cal per serving. 1.5 stones (almost 10Kgs) lost, BP lowered & more stable & BG levels are now those of a non-diabetic. I am gradually reducing my meds...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Cheers @Mike D, I know I must keep it in perspective and my readings are much less of a problem than many on here, for which I am very grateful. Since I pretty much buried my head in the sand for 5 years after my inital diagnosis, I guess I have swung a little too much the other way now I have...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

4.4 at bedtime....5.5 this morning . However, it was about an hour after I initially woke and the fact that I had been playing tug-of-war with a 7 year old in bed before rising may have contributed to the reading.
