Thought on blood tests numbers appreciated.

Eating 20-50g of carbs per day will see your readings plummet. Keep testing and then if you want to - raise your carb intake until your readings stabilise at a level you are comfortable with. Good luck!!

    burning, itching feet

I still have issues with my feet despite my diabetes being reversed. It's nothing worse than 'they don't feel right.' I had a blood test for B12 levels and that came back normal. So the nurse said don't waste money on supplements.

I worry about this issue. Great achievement btw Kate!! If we keep nodding and agreeing are we not reinforcing bad advice given by nurses?

    A1C test (hsbc)

Many people on the forum - myself included - have achieved low Hba1c scores despite NHS advice. It IS getting better but many nurses are very out of date with their advice which is down to poor training imo.

    3 Course Sunday Lunch treat

I think it's ok as an occasional treat but if I did that all the time my numbers would soon go up. But I guess that's the same with anything. I don't feel diabetic anymore. I know I could be but I'm not planning on it!

    3 Course Sunday Lunch treat

We ate out at a restaurant. My pre meal reading was 4.4 on the meter. Starter was deep fried Cajun sweet potato - small portion. Main was a lovely roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes and assorted vegetables. Pudding was fruit salad and ice cream - I also ate my little...

Time to dust off my testing kit methinks! [emoji28] I'm being treated to a 3 course Sunday lunch today. It will be my carby-est meal for 2 years on the back of my best Hba1c results recently of 5% or 31. I'm fascinated to see how my blood sugar levels respond - fingers crossed...
