What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I eat them like at a medieval banquet. These were from Aldi, mind.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today I had bacon and scrambled eggs (there are bacon bits in the egg): Followed by a few air-fried chicken legs later in the day:

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today I had a chicken and mushroom curry, with a small portion of wild rice. It wasn't hot enough, but it wasn't too bad.

Metformin and a random reddit post

Okay. I'd put my money on the lowering of your blood glucose, like @ianf0ster said. If it's that it should settle down once your blood glucose stabilises.

It could of course be presbyopia - caused by the natural ageing of the eyes, whereby it affects your eye's ability to focus on nearby objects.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

It wasn't my choice, @LivingLightly - I'd hoped for a bit more. But you get what you're given. I won't order it again.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Assuming you'd be using arborio rice, or similar, I'd check the carbs @LivingLightly. I used to cook mushroom and asparagus risotto, but haven't had it since the before times.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today we had an office lunch out. I had the tiniest piece of sea bass, with some roasted red peppers. I'm so glad I took some sausages in, which I ate later.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

It's about a third less, @LivingLightly, but it was a small portion. I like cauliflower rice, but not with a curry so much.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today, on the hottest day of the year (in the UK), I had a home made chicken, mushroom, salmon and prawn Madras, with a small portion of wild rice. The weather wasn't that hot, and neither was the curry; I quite enjoyed it.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

It was. But it wasn't supposed to be! It was nice, though, I had some leftovers of it this evening.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thank you. It was meant to be chicken shawarma. It's meant to be warming, rather than spicy. I should follow the recipe more closely.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Yesterday I marinated some chicken thighs in a mixture of spices (I forget which exactly) plus lemon juice, garlic powder, Greek yoghurt and olive oil. Then today I roasted them in the air fryer, and served them with fried mushrooms and garden peas for my lunch today.

    Less

But you don't know what they will suggest... I know that you have dental issues, and have a limited income, so off the top of my head I'm thinking of braising, or stewing steak. It's cheap, needs to be cooked for quite a while, maybe in a slow cooker, but it goes really tender and has a lovely...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I have some oregano, @LivingLightly, but no basil. They were shop-bought tomatoes, and they were probably the second best part. I had steak, salmon and chicken thighs, but I didn't fancy any of them. I like frankfurters, but I had these - admittedly they were a bit old (from the freezer). But at...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Another cheap tea tonight: frankfurters, mushrooms, tomatoes, and sprouts. Not something I'd repeat anytime soon. Although it was edible!

    Eating when not hungry

Thanks for all the replies. I no longer eat through boredom, I don't eat between meals; I just tend to eat more after a meal, when I'm not even hungry. I guess there are no easy answers. I just need to resist until my brain catches up with my appetite.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

You can make it as hot as you like, or don't like, but a standard Balti is fairly medium. You won't lose your socks!

    @Rachox, that curry looks gorgeous!

    Eating when not hungry

Thanks. I thought that the idea of that thread was mainly to improve sleep, and to improve the next morning's blood glucose. I didn't realise it was to stop eating after eating, if you see what I mean. I'll take another look at it. In the meantime, I'll just have to stop and ask myself, "am I...
