    Blood Glucose 4-5 hours postprandial

Thanks, yes if you see your target BG achieved at 2 hours, definitely you won't check any further. I do check as my peak is not at 1 hour or sometimes 2 hours. Probably i need a CGM for few days to understand my peaks.

    Blood Glucose 4-5 hours postprandial

There is lot of discussion over the internet and in this forum about fasting blood glucose levels and 2 hours postprandial. Now as i have seen in my case and some other members here too that our BG doesn't rise at 1 hour after food, rather it rises at 2 hours. Regardless, at hours 4 and 5 it...

    Type 2 Milk

Thanks. yes i meant Arla lacto free as it has 2.6 gm carbs per 100 ml. I am just trying to reduce dairy fats as much as i could.

    Type 2 Milk

I agree that lactose free Alpro has lowest carbs in the market about 2.6 gm/100. I use that and single cream. However, minding my LDL (that Im still not sure being high is good or bad) i am thinking of ditching cream and using only the alpro full fat lacto free milk. My question @bulkbiker is...

Affect of dates on blood glucose

My God! it must have taken you half a century to post over 11k messages :) My sugar levels are quite low most of the time, so i don't think i have a lot of stored glycogen. I eat very low carb and i am active physically. My last meal is about 6 and next after 10 am and by that time, my sugar can...

Affect of dates on blood glucose

I am just trying to add 1 or 2 dates a day after 14 hours fast just to refill glycogen reserves, i hope it wont raise much of insulin. So far on 5 different occasions, it did not affect my BG.

Affect of dates on blood glucose

Affect of dates on blood glucose

I had two boiled eggs, 25 gms of cheddar and one Madjoul this morning (24 gms - 18 gm carbs) for testing and at 2 hours (where i peak max) i was at 6.2 mmol. My fasting is normally 5.

Affect of dates on blood glucose

It's a very interesting study. What do you guys conclude? I think that taking dates/raisin/sugar snack containing 15g of carbs 2 hours after a breakfast and not affecting blood glucose is probably because they had some already secreted insulin levels after their breakfast that helped remove the...

    Carbohydrate recommendations

Thank you so much @NicoleC1971 and please suggest some more certification that i could take on. My aim is to be able to guide diabetics with some level of certification that would allow me to tap into this sector. I am a digital marketing professional and definitely i am not doing these...

    Carbohydrate recommendations

Being a diabetic for almost a year now, and also being part of this forum, i have learnt a lot. I also did hundreds of experiments on myself to understand "my own" diabetes and overall physiology of metabolic disorder. I am also doing some welfare work on spreading word out for the less...

What I’ve learned from my libre...

I don't like the word keto as its so confusing these days. If you keep your total carb intake under 30 gm / day for 3 months, you should become better insulin sensitive. I didn't eat carrots, berries and was very careful at the start not to exceed 20 gm/day. But it paid off. Now I can cross 50gm...

What I’ve learned from my libre...

Unless you go carb free for 2-3 months and melt all fat around your liver, dawn phenomenon will continue to chase you due to insulin resistance. I did all these experiments in the last 10 months as you can see from my posts and the conclusion is simple. Eat ONLY when hungry even its 1 meal a day...

    BG threshold & Insulin Secretion?

Hi there, I am trying to understand at what BG levels, your pancreas will release insulin to cover the high blood glucose. I understand there is continuous release of basal insulin but bolus insulin releases when a certain threshold of BG reaches. Do you have any studies to point out to or your...
