    Question about tonights levels

Yes its a bit frustrating at the start, which i am at as well, they're easing you on to insulin but levels are not settled yet. Sounds like you bolused what you needed more or less but not enough to claw you back to normal levels. I was 15.1 yesterday after late lunch (bad food choice!) but took...

    Recently confirmed T1 after 3 year mis-diagnosis...

Same story with me but 7 years ago until mid December this year when I was put on low does basal for 3 days which wasn't accomplishing much, then double the basal + 2 bolus low dose for 4 days then 2 higher dose for 4 days...now I'm on 3 x bolus - but fairly conservative doses at present we're...

    Hypo symptoms..... what are yours?

My symptoms are clammy sweating and shaking, legs feeling weak - but this develops into blinding headache, terrible stomach ache. In the past I've also felt a very distinct side to side trembling in my fingers, even if it wasn't visible as BG drops towards low.

    New Type 1- pains!

Almost certainly just due to blood glucose reducing I had that for ages when I was first diagnosed.

    Floaters!

My first pen of Insulin has clearly gone awry! See photo.....not cloudy as such, but there are fragnments/flakes in it - they float when agitated otherwise they settle at the bottom. I've set this pen aside, but curious as to what might cause it, it has only been in use a week or so.

First bump in the road...what did I do wrong?

@Jaylee I think temperature may be a little to do with it - my very first injection was stinger i.e. straight out of the fridge, but have had none particularly stingy since. All has been fine today anyway - guess it's just the way it's going to be now and again.

First bump in the road...what did I do wrong?

Yes I could do my backside no problem, though (not boasting or anything!) its fairly muscley too! :) Sauna's are an occasional pleasure, leg waxing I dont see myself doing in the near future!! I'm using 4mm needles.

First bump in the road...what did I do wrong?

No blood and all's good today. I just can't bring myself to use my thigh yet. I'm a long distance runner and have muscley legs with very little fat - guess I should give it a go sometime soon! No I've been using a new needle everytime. I suspect it might have been dodgy needle - as it was...

First bump in the road...what did I do wrong?

Hi all, Been injecting for about 2 weeks, and had my first dodgy one. Taking my Fiasp before dinner, it felt sore going in, felt sore coming out, and stung a bit for a while, and I have a small lump. I'm a skinny fella' so what did I do? a) hit exactly a spot I've used recently (surely...

Learning the lesson. Flat tire in the middle of nowhere

This is my future :-) not only have you reminded me to a) take everything but also b) I should really read and understand how to use the repair kit that literally I have never lifted out of the floor compartment in the car.

    I don't know which I am!

Thanks @Daibell, yes I've studied a lot over the last couple of weeks - ready to go carb counting as soon as I'm allowed! Fasting and bedtimes are coming into line....post meal spike still big, but I guess a few more unites of Fiasp will sort that out.

Levels still high after starting insulin

I started insulin last Monday. Slow release Triseba on its own for 4 days, but was having big spikes after meals, so I've been on 2x Fiasp (fast acting) before lunch and dinner since then. I expect I will be increasing the dose of both in the next few days as I'm still a bit high in morning and...

    I don't know which I am!

Nope, diabetic specialist dr. suggested insulin therapy, on suspicion of T1, and DSN and I are now working towards dosage from my BG readings.

    I don't know which I am!

To be fair GP referred me to Diabetic Specialist and I'm being well cared for by Diabetic Specialist Nurse - just now sure whether I'm "still" type 2 or now type 1 or LADA...not really sure I'm that worried as I am sure the insulin programme is what I need, and is beginning to work....just had...

    I don't know which I am!

I don't think that has been done, but when I stopped my Glicazide it made no difference whatsoever, which I think suggests that the beta cells aren't doing much.

    I don't know which I am!

Hi I was diagnosed as Type 2 in 2012 at 42 years old, despite being on the skinny side of skinny! It's now almost 8 years later and I've just started insulin as my glicazide etc. just wasn't doing anything anymore. The last two weeks have been "interesting"! My HbiAC have been creeping up for...
