    Cutting back on carbs - Metformin reaction?

    l am on about 30 gram carb a day and on metformin. No reaction unless l don't have enough fluids. Then l get constantinopled ;) known as bunged up and sore tummy.. very sore. Need to keep water fluids up high the lower carb you go.

    Well you can always tell the dr you are not prepared to change your life style and you want to go straight onto insulin instead of putting in the effort and who knows never needing.

    My gp said that the meds are cheap even the pharmacist did so god kows what they (gp) are all up to but they all say different things.

    From what l understand Metformin won't take it down much, what are you eating food is the key, post your typical days meals and stand by for a lot of ohh uggs and arr because that will sure as eggs are yellow middle things be where your problem lies.
