    What Is Next?

Hi sweetdave, Yes, you still have to watch your diet and if I were you I'd check my BG too, to keep it under control. Your diabetes is dormant at the moment, but could easily wake up if you're not careful. I wasn't back in the last decade. Please see my sig.

    Cbd Oil

Oh, how I wish I were a non-obese mouse, and that CBD oil turns out to chase cats away too :sorry: Thanks, David.

Can Anyone Help Please - Event/meeting 1st September- Birmingham

But they're on strike, and I really can't go to my endo appointment without you :nailbiting: He was diagnosed only about 7 weeks ago. The undiscovered cancer had spread to his bones, and it was too late to do anything but give him TLC. He suffered a lot before then, being given only...

    Cbd Oil

I'm very interested too. Does anybody know if it has BG-lowering/regulating effects? I hear it tends to increase hunger, which in my case is not so good.

Can Anyone Help Please - Event/meeting 1st September- Birmingham

Thanks for your ever so kind words, Debandez. You're welcome in Copenhagen anytime, and for diabetic tourists we have a special offer. Come with briped to her next endo appointment. Should be fun ;) By far most of my hard work was done while my dad was still 'ok, but just getting old'. Then it...

Can Anyone Help Please - Event/meeting 1st September- Birmingham

If I had the opportunity I'd def attend, but there's a fair distance from Copenhagen to Birmingham. If you like you're welcome to add my two stones, and my A1C is now an estimated 5.2% measured over the last 2-3 months compared with the 13.4% at the end of March. I'm still on meds, but have cut...

    Frozen Shoulder

Not to worry till just a couple of days ago I had no inkling that one might have to do with the other, but I actually read it somewhere. Just wish I could post a link.

And T2, unless my frozen shoulder was unrelated.

    Frozen Shoulder

Absolutely agree. Lots of exercises and painful massages by a very strong male physio :nailbiting: did the trick for me too. Mine got really bad because my GP advised me to keep it still. In the end I could only move my arm from the elbow.

    Xenical Orlistat 120mg.weight Loss Pill.

If I'm not mistaken I took that pill years ago. What it does is it stops your body from absorbing the fat in your food, right? It'll even give you racer tummy if your fat intake is higher than the pill 'likes'? Kind of a fat antabus. Again, if I get that part right, it didn't help me one bit...

What’s your hardest struggle with diabetes?

I'm on Xarelto for life, also an anticoagulant. I don't have to have my blood tested for INR, but I know that with certain types of meds you do. Was just wondering if it might be worth your while to look into switching to Xarelto ...? Could save you one source of frustration :)

    Just Diagnosed. What Now?

You're welcome :) Sorry to hear about your spinal injuries though. Skating sounds like fun, so I hope those numbered days are still far away.

    Just Diagnosed. What Now?

I've read similar stories so many times on this forum. You walk in with one condition, and come out with T2. I consulted my GP for a wonky knee 13 years ago and was diagnosed with T2. The knee is still wonky, and I had to give up riding my pushbike. You can still have sweet stuff, but the main...

In that situation I'd prefer being a fraud, but bless that care assistant. The good ones are gold!

You Need More Water Than Usual!!!

Sounds like a great care home! Half of the flats in my dad's are facing south, and more like baking ovens at above 30C. Yet the carers don't have the time or the sense to make sure the elderly drink.

    Feeling Over Whelmed

My oldest friend and her sister have T1, and were diagnosed when they were around 6, or so. We've known each other since we were 13 and went to school together. Never once have I heard anybody say anything negative to or about either of them because of their condition, and I honestly believe...
